I had just given birth to my first child and was told, by so many people, to enjoy it because "they grow up so fast!” As he grew up before my eyes, I knew I wanted to capture his life in photos. There are times in our lives that we think we’ll never forget, but sometimes, we just do! I didn’t want that to happen with him. So, I told my husband I was going to buy a starter camera. And I did. It was a Canon Rebel XSi with the 18-55mm kit lens. I threw it in auto and started going crazy. The more I shot, the more I loved it and the more I wanted to learn. It just so happened that a neighbor, down the road, was a very talented photographer and was hosting a “Getting into Manual Mode” photography class in a matter of weeks.

I signed up right away. I started practicing more and more and upgraded my equipment (a few times ;)) and haven’t looked back since. Firstly, I will always be a mom but this thing I call a side gig, is something I can’t see myself without. Instead of capturing moments, I’d like to think I’m capturing relationships. Remember when I said that there are times in our lives that we say we will never forget, but we do? Well, it’s easy to forget a moment in time because there are so many, but relationships? those are harder to forget. That’s what I’m here for! I’m here, not to capture the moments, but to capture the relationships you have and the love that you share. Just do it, email me already! ;)
